Traffic and Parking Reminder

Published: June 29, 2020

As we are building more homes in the community, traffic and parking issues will continue to increase and cause problems. According to the City, vehicles are required to leave at least 10 feet of clearance on all streets to allow for emergency vehicles to get through.

If you must park on the street, please be aware of cars on the opposite side and try to “stagger” where you are parking, also park as close to the curb as possible. There are also visitor parking areas on either side of the community near the mailboxes.

It is also dangerous for vehicles to park too close to intersection corners. Vehicles coming too fast around a corner can damage your vehicle as well as their own.

It is a City violation to:

    Block driveways
Park within 3 ft. of a driveway
Park within 15 ft. of a fire hydrant
Park within 30 ft. of a STOP sign
Park on the grass or yard area
    Park on a curb

Remember that all our streets are public and regulated by the City of Carrollton; the HOA is not responsible for any problems or mishaps that may arise. If you are aware of any of the above violations, you may call the Police Department’s NON-EMERGENCY #972 466-3333 (DO NOT CALL 911). Be aware that because these are non-emergencies, it may take them a couple of hours to show up. If they don’t show within a couple of hours, feel free to call them again.

For those of you with garages in the back, according to the City, you may park one car parallel directly in front of your own garage, as long as you do not block someone else’s garage, and there is at least 10 feet of clearance for emergency vehicles and other traffic across the driveway.

The parking on the south side of Lindale belongs to the senior apartment complex; if you park in any of those places, you are subject to being towed.

We are asking all our residents to please be courteous and mindful of their neighbors and utilize the parking on your own street and in your driveway or garage first, allowing all residents the use of parking close to their home?

Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.
